Access & Equity in CTE: How Do You Include All?

with Lori Jensen Wilson from Orion
& Wendy Coates from KSDE

February 25, 2020
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
at the Southwest Plains Conference Center
810 W. Lark Avenue, Sublette

How does your district encourage students with special needs and/or unique situations to participate in career programs? Schools offer enriching CTE programs, but we’re struggling to enroll those students who might need additional guidance. Join Lori Jensen Wilson from Orion and Wendy Coates from KSDE as we help districts:

  1. Consider and develop strategies to assist special populations and non-traditional students be successful in CTE programs and post-secondary planning
  2. Analyze non-traditional and special population district data
  3. Develop a plan including how to include Perkins grants and accreditation and/or redesign goals.

Participants registering by a week in advance will receive district-specific data reports; non-traditional numbers, pathway student enrollment, pathways by district.

Teams of CTE Coordinators, Administrators, Counselors / Social Workers, Special Educators and additional support staff are encouraged to attend.
