Carol Panzer, Assistant Director of Instructional Services

Carol Panzer

Carol earned her Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University in English Education and her Master's degree from Lesley College in Curriculum Development.

Her professional experience includes teaching high school and middle school English/Language Arts for 27 years, teaching adjunct and outreach classes for Garden City Community College, and working with a range of school districts all across the state of Kansas. Her teaching endorsements include 5-12 English, 5-9 science, 5-9 social studies, and K-12 ESOL.

In 1999, Carol achieved National Board Certification. In 2001 she was Regional Finalist for the Kansas Teacher of the Year. She has served on multiple state-level committees for both KNEA and KSDE.

Carol was awarded the Kansas Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development 2007 Outstanding Service Center Educator award. 

Currently, Carol provides instructional coaching, training on science standards, support for Praxis assessments, on-demand writing support, Student Intervention Team training and many other topics. Carol Dweck’s work on Growth vs Fixed Mindsets and Jo Boaler’s work on mathematical mindsets is currently impacting her work with teachers and students.
