University Services
University Services is a collaborative project with Fort Hays State University, Kansas University and SWPRSC. The projects provide Southwest Kansas teachers the opportunity to obtain a graduate degree, undergraduate degree, or an ESL endorsement on the local level.
Fort Hays State University and SWPRSC offer ESL live classes in various Southwest Kansas communities. The endorsement requires 18 hours of course work and the State praxis test.
Fort Hays State University and SWPRSC offer a Master Degree in Education through a mixture of ITV and on-line classes. The ITV sites are Dodge City, Garden City, Liberal and one other site where needed.
Fort Hays State University and SWPRSC offer undergraduate courses in elementary education via ITV sites in Garden City, Dodge City, Liberal and one other site where needed.
Kansas University and SWPRSC are partners in a grant that provides paid tuition, fees, and praxis test for 25 Southwest Kansas teachers. The school districts that are currently participating in this grant are Garden City, Ingalls, Jetmore, Mullinville, Lakin and Fowler.
