No KAMM in Any Subject Area for 2013-2014 School Year
Students that have taken the KAMM in the past will take the General Assessment or the General Assessment with Accommodation. Teachers will need to use the Kansas Accommodations Manual.
Kansas Alternate Assessment (KAA) Students that have taken the KAA will take the Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) field test in Reading and Math. Students that take the KAA will complete a portfolio in Science and History-Government unless there is a pilot in Science or History-Government. Recommend putting a statement on the IEPs that the student will take assessment in content areas that are made available by the state. KAA indicators should not be included in the IEP in any content area. If there is a pilot then the IEP will say Alternate Assessment so that would not require any further changes. There are new Eligibility requirements for students taking the Alternate Assessment that will apply to all content areas. This Eligibility Requirement will be used starting in the 2013-2014 school year. |
