Irene Perez

Irene holds degrees in Elementary Education and Education Administration from St. Mary of the Plains College and Fort Hays State University. Irene is ESL endorsed, working with school-age children as well as adults who desire to learn a new language.

Her current position with SWPRSC involves working with Migrant education, implementing and monitoring successful migrant programs in the Southwest Plains Migrant district areas.

Irene continues to assist districts with their ESL needs. She is involved in bringing together administrators, teachers, and paraprofessionals who desire to gain information, resources and strategies to better assist their students whose first language is not English. The ESL Cadre has been going strong for 10 years, continually adding members who want to stay on top of ESL program requirements.
