Consultant Information for

      Kim Myers

Kim Myers joined SWPRSC in 2006 as a grant writer.  Before coming to SWPRSC, Kim taught
high school English and ESL classes (K - adults) in Elkhart, Kansas. In addition, she acted as the district’s Migrant / ESL coordinator, then Director of Integrated Services, overseeing all state and federal programs.

Kim earned her Bachelor’s degree in British Literature from Washburn University in Topeka,
Kansas, and her Master’s degree in Education from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. She is currently certified in English (5-12), ESL (K-12), German (5-9), General Science (5-9), Social Studies (5-9), and Building Administration / Leadership.

Kim’s professional focus is on helping districts develop effective supplemental programming and providing grant-writing services to member districts. She is particularly interested in the creation and implementation of alternative education programs, especially charter schools and virtual schools, programs that address student health issues, and examining effective use of technology in today’s classrooms.
