Savvy Science Strategies Activity Book Now Available!
Southwest Plains Regional Service Center has developed a new Science Strategies activity notebook to help teachers prepare their students for the Science State Assessments.
Savvy Science Strategies is an activity book directly aligned to the Kansas science standards grades 3-4. The activities can be used with lower grades, but are written to specifically support the 3-4 grade span tested indicators. The activities are designed to support science as inquiry and integrate science, math, and reading. The book was written by Western Kansas teachers, uses common materials, and provides ideas to allow students to ask questions and explore the topics in their own ways.
