Kansas Coordinated School Health Grants Update
KCSH will release a call for applications for KCSH grants in early September for the 2008-2009 school year. KCSH will host three “pre-application” conference calls in late August to introduce the structure and expectations of the new grant program. The calls will be at 4:00 on August 25, 26, and 27. Call-in information will be posted on the KCSH website and circulated via email.
Early Childhood Block Grant
$100,000 with a 10% required cash match
Due September 22, 2008
This grant is to fund selected early childhood programs across Kansas for services for at-risk children birth to five years old. The proposals must reflect evidence-based approaches to achieve outcomes that enhance school readiness for at-risk children. The grant dollars must not supplant existing state or federal funding for programs. However, blending and braiding of funding to enhance current programming is encouraged.
