Online Bilingual/ESL Classes available at SWPRSC
The passage of No Child Left Behind makes explicit all districts' obligations to their English Language Learners: these students are not only expected to learn English, but must also master the same academic content as English-speaking students. In order to help districts assist their ELLs in attaining these goals, SWPRSC has developed a series of 10 high school classes offered online to interested districts. These classes, taught by qualified bilingual teachers, are presented in English and Spanish with the goal of teaching content AND language. If your district has limited resources to meet the needs of second language learners, these classes are an invaluable resource for you.
