My name is Bill Losey, your Carl Perkins Grant Coordinator through Southwest Plains Regional Service Center. Please feel free to contact me with questions or ideas you may have regarding this grant at bill.losey@swplains.org or 620-353-4582.

I have had a career in education for over 20 years and in addition to serving as the Carl Perkins Grant Coordinator, I am also a data analyst and a management consultant. I work with school districts in Southwest Kansas, helping them with their KSDE assessment processing as well as mentoring new teachers, conducting workshops to educators and managing our ten Community Learning Centers.  Before coming to SWPRSC in 2004, I served as the principal of Hugoton Elementary School for 12 years.

While teaching in California, I developed the "Ag in the Classroom Program", which gave urban students the opportunity to learn how much work is involved from the time their food is planted until it gets to the grocery store. As a result, I was named  the California Teacher of the Year by the California Farm Bureau Federation. I believe every student deserves to have the best education possible and it up to us to see that they do; together we will work to give our students an opportunity for a quality education and successful future.
