8:30 am - 2:30 pm
at the Southwest Plains Conference Center
810 W. Lark Avenue, Sublette

School systems in Kansas are committed to meeting the needs of English Learners and their families.  Let us help you optimize your efforts and enhance practice by adding to your knowledge of strategies.  Experience the effectiveness of these strategies by assuming the role of an EL student as you make sense of a lesson taught in another language.  You will also navigate the school system as a family whose native language is not English to help your journey towards authentic family engagement.  The English Learner Simulation will extend your knowledge and give you the 'how' to enact your passion for ALL learners.
